licensed as an NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) or an Ocean Freight Forwarder (OFF), will appear either on the NVOCC and/or Freight Forwarder lists, respectively.
These lists can be found on the Federal Maritime Commission website. NVOCC or OFF's that do not have an active Form FMC-1 on file with the Commission are not considered to be in compliance with regulatory requirements or forwarding costs they charge, and therefore, are not included on these lists, nor are they certified or qualified agents to be forwarding your cargo!
